Many thanks to all the Hazelwood Residents who supported this event – you really did turn out in good numbers for this one!  Brendan Daly, as always, helped by providing lunch and compèred the game of skittles – all at a bargain price.  Despite suffering from neck-ache, Brendan livened up the festivities with a disco warm up including leading everyone with his ‘pia-pia piano’ and ‘oompa oompa oompapa’ to the entertaining ‘Music Man’ and gave a cutting commentary.

The event was held on a Sunday lunchtime so that some of the CHECT families whose children are affected by eye cancer could come along and join in with the fun.  The game of skittles was enjoyed by all with differing levels of ability – sometimes to the great amusement of the onlookers.

A CHECT team, The Chasers, won the skittles competition which Brendan announced as The Chosen (which reminds me I really must improve my handwriting!).
